Begin your adventure with a guided exploration of Marrakech, Morocco’s vibrant “Red City.” Visit the Majorelle Gardens, the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque, and the historical Saadian Tombs. Wander through the maze-like Medina, where colorful souks, spices, and artisans bring the city to life. Discover the Bahia Palace, a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture, and end your day at Jemaa el-Fna Square, where snake charmers, musicians, and food stalls create an unforgettable evening atmosphere. Overnight stay in a charming riad in Marrakech.
Depart Marrakech and journey through the scenic High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at 2,260 meters. Stop at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified ksar famous for its mudbrick architecture and movie appearances. Continue toward Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Desert,” and visit the Atlas Film Studios and Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.
After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses, known for its fragrant rose products and beautiful landscapes. Pass through the stunning Dades Valley with its winding roads and spectacular rock formations. Continue to the Todra Gorge, where towering cliffs rise dramatically along a crystal-clear river — perfect for short walks and photos. By evening, reach the golden dunes of Merzouga, at the edge of the Sahara Desert. Overnight stay in a traditional desert hotel near the dunes.
Experience a full day of desert adventure around the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Visit Khamlia Village to enjoy live Gnawa music, performed by descendants of African slaves. Explore the desert in a 4x4, visiting nomadic families and discovering hidden oases. In the afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the dunes to witness a breathtaking sunset over the Sahara. Enjoy dinner and Berber drumming under a starlit sky at your luxury desert camp. Overnight in a private tent.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes — a truly magical moment. After breakfast, ride camels or take the 4x4 back to Merzouga. Visit the traditional market of Rissani, famous for its spices, jewelry, and local goods. Continue your journey north, crossing the Ziz Valley with its vast palm groves and mountain scenery. Arrive in Midelt, nestled between the Middle and High Atlas ranges. Overnight stay in Midelt.
After breakfast, head toward Fez, Morocco’s spiritual and cultural capital. Stop in Azrou, a picturesque Berber town surrounded by cedar forests, where you can see wild monkeys. Continue to Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its clean streets and European-style architecture. Enjoy the scenic drive through the Middle Atlas before reaching Fez in the evening. Overnight stay in a riad in Fez.
Spend your final day exploring Fez, Morocco’s oldest imperial city. Visit the Royal Palace, Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and Borj Nord for panoramic views. Walk through the ancient Medina of Fes el-Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with narrow alleys, colorful tanneries, and bustling souks. Discover key landmarks such as the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the world’s oldest university, and the Bou Inania Madrasa. The tour ends with drop-off at your riad or transfer to the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable desert adventure.
