Itinerary

Day 1: CASABLANCA ARRIVAL AND CITY TOUR

When you get to Casablanca, your 9-day Moroccan trip will start with a hearty welcome from our staff. First on our city tour, we will see the famous Hassan II Mosque, one of the biggest mosques in the world and an architectural wonder. Discover Casablanca's busy streets, take in the lively vibe, and sample the regional delicacies. Set up your cozy lodging in the evening, and get ready for the days ahead.

Day 2: CASABLANCA ⇢ RABAT ⇢ CHEFCHAOUEN

Day two will see us visit Rabat, the Moroccan capital. See the architectural treasures and historical attractions, such as the stunning Hassan Tower and the quaint Kasbah of the Udayas. Next, we will continue our journey to Chefchaouen, known as the "Blue City" due to its enchanting blue-painted houses and streets. Savor the people's kind welcome and lose yourself in the unique atmosphere of this charming town.

Day 3: FULL DAY TO EXPLORE CHEFCHAOUEN

You have the day to wander about Chefchaouen, a city well-known for its streets painted blue. The distinctive and lovely look of the blue-washed structures creates a seductive mood. Explore the ancient town's winding lanes and alleyways, visit the vibrant markets, or simply unwind at one of the many cafés or restaurants serving mouthwatering Moroccan cuisine.Chefchaouen's breathtaking surroundings, cultural immersion, and delectable food promise to make your day memorable. Remember to pack your camera in order to record the stunning scenery that lies ahead!

Day 4: CHEFCHAOUEN ⇢ VOLUBILIS ⇢ MEKNES ⇢ FES

You'll start your day with a beautiful drive through the quaint Rif villages after breakfast at your Riad. We will treat you to stunning vistas and stunning scenery as we travel over the Moroccan countryside. The Roman city of Volubilis is our first stop.You can learn about Volubilis' fascinating history and see the remnants of this ancient city. The ruins of Volubilis are renowned for their magnificent public structures from the third century and their well-preserved mosaics. By strolling among the remains, you can go back in time and get a look at the life of the Romans, who once called this area home.Once we have had our fill of seeing Volubilis, we will go to Meknes, the 17th-century Moroccan capital.We will visit Meknes' medina, a historic town encircled by defensive walls, after a filling lunch. Bab el Mansour gate, one of Morocco's most impressive, is inside. Its fine carvings and complex motifs will astound you. A hallowed site honoring the well-known Sultan Moulay Ismail, the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, will also be open to us.Following a day of sightseeing in Volubilis and Meknes, we will go to Fes, where you will spend the night in a stunning Riad. It's now time to kick back in the luxury of your Riad.

Day 5: GUIDED TOUR OF FES

Today, you will enjoy a fantastic full-day tour of the energetic city of Fes with a kind local guide. Fes is renowned for its vibrant culture and intriguing past. This is a significant Moroccan city with immense religious and cultural value. Fes is awash with priceless historical and cultural gems that are just waiting for you to discover.Start your trip by seeing the majestic Royal Palace golden gate. Then walk into the Medina, the ancient section of the city, with its winding lanes. UNESCO recognizes the Medina as a World Heritage Site, making it a remarkable location. Important sites you will see when touring the Medina are the Chouara Tanneries, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, and Al-Qarawiyyin University. These sites have stunning architectural designs with minute detailing.Next, go to "the Mellah," the Jewish neighborhood, and learn about the fascinating history of Fes' Jewish population. A last climb to an old stronghold will reward you with an amazing, sweeping perspective over Fes, the Medina, and the whole city.As the day comes to an end, go back to your cozy riad. Day 6: FES ⇢ IFRANE ⇢ MIDDLE ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ ZIZ VALLEY ⇢ MERZOUGA DESERT

Have a great breakfast at your Fes riad and then prepare for an incredible desert excursion. Southward we will go in the direction of the enchanted Merzouga desert. We will stop for a short while at the beautiful city of Ifrane along the route so you can unwind and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.Proceeding, we will cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and pause by the road in a cedar grove. You will be able to see Barbary apes in their natural environment here. We will next have a filling lunch at a restaurant before traveling to the Ziz Valley, which is well-known for its verdant palm tree haven.We will reach the desert in the afternoon and begin our real camel ride over Erg Chebbi's captivating sand dunes. We will stop along the way across the desert to take in the breathtaking sunset from a high dune. We will then go to our opulent desert camp.You will be brought to your own tent with a toilet for unwinding and getting ready when you arrive. You'll get to sample some local food at a lovely supper later. As our camp staff plays traditional Berber music and drums, assemble around a warm campfire under the starry sky. The enjoyment of the evening's events will be increased by the chance for you to learn how to play the drums yourself.

Day 7: FULL DAY TO EXPLORE THE MERZOUGA DESERT

To see the breathtaking dawn above the Erg Chebbi dunes, one should get up early today. Have a substantial breakfast and then choose between taking a 4x4 to Merzouga or riding a camel.Start of your adventure-filled day in the Merzouga desert. Our first stop is the little hamlet of Khamlia, where you may hear Gnawa, a distinctive kind of music. This particular song will be played for you by the South African-born residents. Experiencing a new musical genre is a fantastic chance.We will next go off-road to M'Fis, an abandoned settlement with Galena mines. Mascara used to be made from the mineral galena. We'll travel to the stunning Dades Gorge.Interesting locations such as the Rissani traditional market (on market days, Sunday, Tuesday, or Thursday) will be yours to discover throughout the tour. Wander slowly around the enthralling Todra Gorge, taking in the stunning views of the Todra River.The amazing granite formations that resemble monkey fingers will astound you as we go into Dades Gorge. Before checking into your accommodation for the evening, take in the gorges' expansive splendor on a picturesque drive through the Dades Valley. Unwind in a cozy hotel room to guarantee a quiet and pleasant night.

Day 9: DADES GORGE ⇢ OUARZAZATE ⇢ AIT BEN HADDOU ⇢ HIGH ATLAS MOUNTAINS ⇢ MARRAKECH

We'll start our last day of your 9-day Morocco itinerary by heading to Ouarzazate, which is widely known as the "Hollywood of Africa" and the "Gateway to the Desert." The largest film studio in Morocco, Atlas Studios, will be open for visits while we are there. Take advantage of this fantastic opportunity to learn about the creation process of movies and explore famous movie locations.After our tour of the studios, we'll go to Ait Ben Haddou. Discover the renowned Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has starred in numerous films such as "The Gladiator" and "Lawrence of Arabia." Spend some time touring this ancient landmark, taking in the exquisite decorations and the intricate construction.Following a filling lunch at a neighborhood eatery, we will head over the High Atlas Mountains. Every now and then, we will pause to enjoy the stunning vistas of the surroundings. We will arrive in Marrakech late in the afternoon, marking the end of your 9-day Morocco tour, which begins in Casablanca.
