9-Day Waterfall and Seaside Round Trip Tour from Casablanca

All those who love water, this tour is for you. Experience Morocco’s Atlantic coast and the refreshing Ouzoud waterfalls. You won’t miss out on the urban landscape either, as fully-guided tours of Fez and Marrakesh are also included.

Itinerary

Day 1: Casablanca

Pickup at Casablanca airport and transfer to a local hotel. If there is time in the afternoon, we will visit the city, seeing the Hassan II mosque. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat

After breakfast we will depart for Rabat. Stopping for lunch then having a sightseeing tour of the administrative capital of Morocco. You will visit the Royal Palace, The Mausoleum of Mohamed V and the Hassan Tower, the minaret of an incomplete mosque initiated by The Almohad ruler, Yaacoub al-Mansour. You may also visit The Kasbah des Oudaias, white houses with blue painted parapets located near to the Atlantic coast. Dinner and overnight at a local hotel.

Day 3: Rabat – Meknes – Fez

Today After breakfast at hotel, you will travel to Meknes then to the nearby city Fes. Meknes is the third Imperial city of Morocco, it is known as “The Versailles of Morocco.” You will explore the famous door Bab El Mansour, one of the most beautiful gateways in the country. Continue your sightseeing tour by visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. You will have time for lunch and a visit to the old and new Medina. Later on you will visit the village of Moulay Idriss Zerhoun which is a place of pilgrimage for Moroccans. Afterward you will discover the ancient Roman ruins of Volubulis. Finally drive to Fez. Enjoy your evening with a traditional Moroccan dinner at a local riad where we will spend the night.

Day 4: Fez Guided Tour

Today after breakfast, you will have a sightseeing tour to explore the Royal city of Fez. Your morning will be spent visiting the medieval medina (old city) with its ramparts and narrow streets that was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. You will see the 16th-century Merinid Tombs Ruins. Visit the Bouanania and the Attarine Medersas constructed in the early 14th century by the Merinides, the Karaouine Mosque (an ancient educational centre of Islamic learning), and the Nejjarine Marble Fountain. You will have a break for lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant. Continuing on your visit, you will view the decorated gate of Bab Boujeloud, the medieval tanneries, the Royal Palace. Then visit of the Souks (local markets) where merchants and craftsmen sell their hand-made jewellery, leather goods, copperware and pottery. Dinner and accommodation at the riad.

Day 5: Fez – Ifrane – Azrou – Ouzoud Waterfalls

After breakfast, we depart south, through the Middle Atlas via Ifrane, Azrou and Beni Mellal. In Ifrane, known as “ The Moroccan Switzerland,” you will see the stone lion before we continue on our drive to Azrou. Later on, you will have the chance to view the old tree (800 years, named Cedre Gouraud) and meet the Barbary monkeys in the cedar forest. From here we cross Azrou, a Berber town known for its green tiled roofs. Stop for lunch before we reach Beni Mellal. Continuing our drive, we will finally arrive at the impressive Ouzoud Waterfalls where we will enjoy dinner and spend the night at a nearby hotel.

Day 6: Ouzoud Waterfalls – Marrakech

Today we spend the morning at the falls and enjoying nature. There is some free time to do a little hiking and explore the area on foot on your own. Do a little swimming at the base of the falls if the weather is nice before enjoying lunch. In the afternoon, we drive to Marrakesh, the red city of Morocco, where we will have dinner and check in to a local riad near the city centre.

Day 7: Marrakech Guided Tour

Today can be devoted to sightseeing in Marrakech, the imperial city of the South. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque with its impressive tower, the Majorelle Gardens – a botanical garden with varied plants, the 16th-century Saadian Tombs – all decorated in colourful mosaic tiles, the 19th century beautiful architecture of Bahia Palace. You will have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the fascinating Souks and the narrow alleys around the Djemâa El-Fna Square. In the evening, you will be enchanted with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, narrators and story-tellers – moving from one group to another. Enjoy your dinner and spend the night at the riad.

Day 8: Marrakesh – Essaouira 

This morning after breakfast, we will leave Marrakech toward the Atlantic coast, arriving in Essaouira after a few hours. You may visit an argan factory run by women and get to know about the process of making argan oil. You will explore the port of the Coastal tourist town of Essaouira. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in the medina. The afternoon is at your leisure for a personal exploration; you can swim and relax on the beach or wander around this relaxing seaside town. Enjoy your evening meal and spend the night in a Riad or hotel.

Day 9: Essaouira – Safi – Oualida – El Jadida – Casablanca

Today we will leave Essaouira to return to Casablanca via the costal road while admiring the views. We will pass by Safi then to Oualida where you will enjoy a delicious seafood lunch. After lunch we will continue to Casablanca passing by El Jadida (was known with Mazagan); this old medina was established in 1513 by the Portuguese. Arrive to Casablanca early evening when we drop you off at the airport or another location of your choice.
